The divine feminine
Consequently Christianity became a conflict-centric religion of domination aiming to conquer all “evil.” Through other mystical events I experienced this same lesson on how we perpetuate the cycle of pain from within Buddha, within the cosmos, within international government systems, and within various other scenarios large and small. In the crucifixion scene I experienced clearly that mankind wanted a Christ that conquered, not a Christ that healed. In other words, our pain-based reaction is one of domination and rejection. We try to make pain go away because we think having the power to conquer is what keeps us safe. Therefore we never get to heal the source of pain.
In my first metaphysical event, I found myself in the body and being of Jesus on the cross, and experienced how humanity has been stuck in the cycle of suffering: we react to pain with pain. I grew up devoutly agnostic, but 21 years ago I began to involuntarily experience humanity’s entire evolution from stunning mystical vantage points. I share my response because I am often asked various versions of this question. She asked, “Can my own inner knowing be trusted about the feminine and its place in healing our world?” She said that she found it difficult not to be overcome by rage when thinking about the dominance of men in both public and private affairs.

We’ll also move into experimenting with the colors we’ve chosen by creating random, inky shapes and once dry we’ll use our intuition and creativity to further enhance our ink splashes.Recently I co-hosted an online series called the “Mystics’ Front Porch,” during which a participant asked a question about grief, rage, and patriarchy.

I’ll be showing you how to take notice and pay attention to these moments of excitement and record them so you’ll always be able to reference them for future creations. There is a “knowing” that happens on a cellular level when you see something that resonates with your whole being and that’s what I want us to explore here together. In this warm-up lesson we’ll be exploring color and how it makes us feel. That’s our intuition talking to us, and the more you listen and trust the louder it gets. We’ve all taken notice of it at sometime in our life, whether we were in a situation that didn’t “feel” right or somehow instinctively knew something. I’m so happy that you’re here on this journey with me, let’s get started!Īs we move through this class we’ll be exploring different aspects of our own intuition, which is one of the characteristics of divine feminine energy. We’ll be using a variety of supplies which I’ll also go over in a separate video. I will provide you with all of the resources you need to create your own beautiful artwork in this class, including links to find your own references if you choose. I’ll also show you how to create your own oracle card/affirmation card symbolizing the divine feminine and finally, we’ll bring the divine feminine energy to life in a fun, mixed media portrait. If you’re like me, celebrating this type of energy in my artwork fills my heart! As we move through these lessons together, we’ll use our intuition to select a beautiful oracle card from the Kuan Yin Oracle by Alana Fairchild, which will inspire our mixed media art journal spread. We all encompass both masculine and feminine energy, but in this class we’ll be focusing on the feminine aspects and how tapping into our own inner goddess can strengthen our intuition and creativity. She lives in all of us, regardless of gender. These are just a few of the words I would use to describe the Divine Feminine. Powerful, nurturing, compassionate, creative, mysterious, wild and intuitive.
